Though both devices have 5.5-inch screens, the 1080p IPS display of the Optimus G Pro is decidedly better than the 720p Super AMOLED of the Galaxy Note 3. The colors have more life on the saturated Galaxy Note 3, but the colors are still strong on the Optimus G Pro, and having twice the resolution creates a display with more detail when watching video.

When diving deeper into the hardware, the misleading sense of seen ready returns, and the Optimus G Pro almost always comes out on top. It's important to note that the Galaxy Note II, released in fall of 2012, has the disadvantage of arriving far ahead of the G Pro, which was released in the spring of 2013. The extra season of seasoning allows the G Pro to turn out on top in several areas. - The G Pro has a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM that bests and toppers the 1.6 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM on the Note 3. The difference seems inconsequential when looking at specs, but real world performance shows that the Optimus G Pro is faster, arguably one of the fastest and smoothest experiences available on Android thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip besting last year's Exynos processor.

Similar to the Galaxy S4, the Note 3 will have at least 2 different processor configurations. The LTE version will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.3GHz quad-core CPU, and the 3G version will bring a 1.9GHz Exynos octa-core CPU to the table. Other specs for the Note 3 include 3GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB of storage, and microSD. The LG Optimus G Pro falls a bit short in the specs department when compared to the Note 3, but we shouldn’t be surprised considering the G Pro Is not exactly a new arrival. The G Pro is powered by a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 CPU, accompanied by 2GB of RAM. The device also includes 32GB internal storage and microSD support.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 takes everything we expect from a massive-sized smartphone and takes it to brand new heights! While the Optimus G Pro was a pretty decent handset in its own right, it seems to pale in comparison to the giant that is the Note 3.
