Sony's PlayStation 4 comes to stores on Friday, and we've got a sneak peek at what's inside the box.
That's when Sony released the PlayStation 4. Having a Blu-Ray player, a 500 GB internal hard drive, 8 GB of RAM, 802.11 b/g/n wireless and wired Internet connectivity, and Bluetooth and USB 3.0, it also sports a bevy of modern peripherals: the DualShock four controller includes a capacitive touch pad, and a "Share" button supports gameplay video capture via the Ustream and Twitch services. Launching titles include everything from the mature-rated Killzone , a first-person shooter, to Knack, a family-friendly action game.
The PS4 was announced in February and will go on sale for about $400 in the United States and Canada on Nov. 15. Sony's last-generation console, the PlayStation 3, was launched in North America on Nov. 17, 2006 and initially retailed for about $600.
